NetBSD is a highly integrated system. In addition to the highly portable and high performance kernel, NetBSD has a complete set of user tools, compilers for several languages, window system X, software firewalls (firewall) and numerous other tools, all accompanied by full source code. The collection of NetBSD packages contain more than 5000 packages. Pre-compiled distributions for a known number of platforms currently being prepared.
